OUR CURRICULUM

At Notre Dame du Rosaire Catholic Primary School every child is recognised as a unique individual made in the image of God.

Our mission statement 'Learning together, loving God’ encapsulates the balance between learning about ourselves, others and knowledge of our world, with the aim of converting this knowledge into understanding and skills that combine to serve our community as a whole. Due to the context of our school, we believe vocabulary is the key to all learning, and as such we try to surround the children in a vocabulary and text rich environment.

Our curriculum is designed to: provide breadth of knowledge, inspiring and exciting experiences; promote resilience, independence, reflection, teamwork, creativity and critical thinking within a happy and ambitious school community.

Our curriculum is designed in response to the needs of each and every child considering their place in this nurturing family school, local community and the world beyond. Opportunities for enjoyable, independent and collaborative learning are integrated wholly within our Bailiwick Curriculum.

We aim for every child to leave Notre Dame as an effective contributor, a confident individual, a successful learner and a responsible citizen with the confidence and self-belief necessary to have high expectations of themselves and their future.

A curriculum that will help pupils to fulfil God's unique plan for each and every one of us.
